13 second car??

ah **** i'll never hear the end of this but to start off with here are my mod's: headers, bassani o/r x-pipe, flo master 2 1/2 cat back, 3.55 gears, 76 mm C&L, steeda upper adj. rear arms, steeda lower rear arms, pro 5.0 shifter ,under drives, bbk cold air in fender well, cam (possible E303?) not shure was in it when i got the car 70mm T.B, 180 t-stat, timming at? not shure i didnt do it but it has been done at the shop? fuel at 45 PSI, prothane motor and tranny mounts, 275/45/17 nitto's D/R's. and my best time is a 13.93@ like96mph most of my runs were 14.0-14.1 my highest MPH was a 98. these times were before my T.B and the tranny/motor mounts

well john those times were at PIR right?? I hear that track sux balls...run at woodburn I bet you hit mid 13s
well last year it did but this year PIR is suppose to be a better hooking track? but then again i was thinking about going to woodburn in a fewweeks to try there as well, we'll see come tomorrow night but then again mytimes might not be as good tomorrow cause i wont do a good smoke show due to the tire price. but then again if i pull to many more of those stunts like tonight i might not be driving at all302fordracer said:

Smoked you should at least get a dyno-tune to make sure its tuned right (get it w/a:f), and then report back. Your mph is decent, but should be over 100mph IMO with headers. I run 98.5mph EVERY time down, regardless of my 60', and I dont have headers or a cam (which does nearly nothing with stock H/I), but I do have 3.73's which help a little.
What kind of 60's are you pulling with the Nitto's? The best 60' I could get out of 315 Nitto's was 1.91, which is worse thana the 255/50/16 BFG's on stock tires. You have to have a very nicely prepped track & be a very good driver to get the most out of the Nitto's.

Mine put down 221/288, and I dont have headers or a TB, but those are still decent numbers. You'll probably need a 1.8 60' to run 13's since you have 3.55's. Do you have to shift into 4th right before the traps? You might better off leaving it in 3rd as long as it isnt hitting the rev limiter.

13's should definitely be possible with your mods IF it's a 5 spd. My vert with my sub and other junk still in the trunk ran a 14.17 at 99mph with intake, TB, gears, and exhaust (minus headers). That was with a garbage 2.1 60' on my bald street tires. I now have my powerpipe and 77mm MAF on, and my control arms are on the way. I am hoping to hit 13.7's or so once they are on.
EDIT: Oh yea and that was with the timing fawked up and me backfiring on the 2-3 and 3-4 shift, lol.

ok well since it rained here this weekend I was unable to race but I am certainly excited to hit the track once we get some good weather and I'll let you all know how it goes...

yes i do shift into 4 th right before the traps, i've never hit the rev. limiter and i've hit 6300 once! when i dynoed those number's it was without the T.B , i beleive you need a 1.9 60' to get 13's damn i wish i had the slip of my 13.930 run to look at now!jtkz13 said:
