140 mph speedo swap

can i take the 140 mph complete cluster out of my 91 and put it directly into my 87? and will the speedo be correct?

I belive if you take the entire cluster it will work. Ive never done this, but I have read other posts. You may have some luck with the search.

You will have to rewire the cluster to get it to work.

The speedo is mechanical, it will work right away, it's all the electrical crap that won't really work

Now if you take the 91 cluster apart and put just the speedo mechanism in and swap the gauge face over, it will be a bit easier
