I have an 86 mustang that i am gonna put some 15x10s on the back I had 15x8s with a 28/10.5/15 mickey thompson tire on it had to do some banging on the inner fenders and rolled the outter fender. Is it a good idea to go to a 15x10? I have heard that you get a better tread pattern down to the ground is this true and if so what backspacing and what else is required to get this size rim to fit im having baaaaaaadddddddd spinning problems off the line!!! Any input would be much appreciated.

my point is you don't know what the hell you're talking about. Maybe they had a turbocoupe rear in their car? 15x10 w6.5 backspacing works.....do I have to go take pictures?

yea maybe i am imagining they stick out and its all an illusion.

Well my 15x8`s are just to the inside edge of the fender lip and sometimes hit the tire on a good launch, so with a rim thats 2" wider 1" to the inside and 1" to the outside they would have to hit more because the tire is not being pulled in like on the 8" rim.
With the 15x8 rim and m/t et street radials I don`t spin and have a 1.57 best 60'
and there are cars much faster than mine with 7" and 8" rims that don`t spin.
I would look elseware for your traction problem.
Wrong shocks, week rear springs, too much air in tires:shrug:
Try an airbag on pass side.

Clearly Rick you have no idea what your talking about something is wrong. 19059020 people with foxes run a 10" wheel with 6.5" BS with NO problems. I am one. Here are pictures of BOTH. The 10" wheel DOES NOT stick out. It makes the tire rounder instead of buldging on the wheel.

No no. I said in my previous post I rolled the quarters which didnt NEED to be done, and i hammer the fenderwell. To me thats no problem. The pictures were to show the 10" wheels DONT stick out 1". I am sick of the he said she said bullsht that people say. Wrong information doesn't help anyone. If your asking for your SN95. I believe you have a little more room to play with but thats something to research.

Yep your right, your the one that post wrong information. Turbo said its not possible. You claim it must be a illusion? I agree. Prove that it will work, and complain about wrong information but I am the bad guy. Makes sense. Now you can go **** yourself instead.

Oh my, good comeback, they stick out alot with the sn rear end.Thats why i inquired again about it.At least i was man enough to admit i was wrong, originally he told me everything stock drivetrain.

Yep thats all that you needed to say. It should be 3/4" more each side? Around there anyways, which is why it hits. Sure its like having 15x8's with 4.5" BS which hit bad. Had those for a few months, not for stock fox length.
