ok gang here the question i have the 88gt turbines till i can afford some nice rims. im sure they are 15x7.
http://www.mustanggt.org/turbine.jpg

i got two some used but beefy/nice 255/60r/15's for cheap to replace my cracking and completely bald rears. anyways will they fit? i don't feel like going to the tir place to have them mounted and look like a dumbarse.....
im assuming they will be ok, but i assume to much...and bought these things without any research, just went for my gut feeling...luckily i can get what i paid for them as fast as it would take to post them up for sale...

They're not the ideal size but they'll fit fine. You'll have some sidewall bulge but the height of the sidewall will allow the footprint to flatten back out and make a good contact. I used to run 265/50s on my 10 holes.

You'll be putting a lot of extra stress on the sidewalls since the tires are really too wide for that rim. Handling (especially cornering) will suffer when compared to a tire that that rim can support. Knowing that ahead of time will help - you can drive on them but it won't be optimal for performance.

Just be careful - that can cause the already squirrely rear on our cars to be even worse.

I've had 275's on a set of 10 holes. 255's should be fine.

You make turbines sound as though they're a bad rim.

You'll be fine with 255's on 'em.

oh no they are good track rims, but very dated and old school.(then again the fox body design screams i love the 80's) but i happen to drool over that design so i guess i really do love the 80's
