Does anyone have a 65 or 66 Mustang with a disc brake conversion on the front? I put Wilwood discs on the front and now I’m reading that some “modifications“may be needed for a good fit. 15x6 might fit ok but I don’t want to go that narrow.
Any help is appreciated.

I've got them on my '65 with 15" Cragars . . . no issues at all.

Good to know. I’m trending towards the Magnum 500s. Just wondering about the tire size. Maybe 225/60/15. For sure on the back.

That sounds like what I'm running. In all honesty, I'm looking at going to a 16" wheel soon. I'm just not finding a good selection of tires in 15" sizes that fit my current wheels. I just don't see a lot of wheels out there that jump out at me.

There are a ton of different disc brake conversion kits so that isn't saying much. In general those who want the biggest brakes usually step up to 17" wheels. The problem is usually the end of the UCA...people with smaller wheels tend to trim the UCA back a little....its the metal after the curled edge so trimming it does not compromise strength...using tubular UCAs tends to avoid that issue..and bigger wheels tuck it into the wheel itself.
