A buddy of mine came across a set of (i think real) Saleen 17 inch 1 piece Sterns in 4 lug. It's rumored that there were only about 500 sets of these wheels ever sold. I haven't seen them in person yet so i don't know what shape they're in but which would you pick? My 16 inch ARE's which are flawless except one very minor dint in the lip of one that can easily be fixed, or the 1 piece Sterns? These aren't the aftermarket knockoffs that everyone is buying up right now so they're not dished or anything.

Here's an example of what they look like

wwwoooaaahhhh real Sterns...hmmmm though with the aggressive overall look of your car, I think the mesh ARE's are where it's at...the Sterns are for smoother looking body kitted cars like the Saleen's they came on IMO

Yeah i know but this is so damn tempting. Both wheels are super rare and hard to find....but when you find the Sterns there's usually a hefty price tag along with them. He said they're pretty faded but you can still see where it says SALEEN on one of the spokes of each wheel....sounds like the real deal to me. I might have to put them on my car and see how they look.

I say go for it, man. Worst case scenario you wrap them in plastic and squirrel them away for 20 years to bank on them at a later date. If I've learned one thing about about used car parts it's that you've got to pull the trigger fast when deals like that come along...

I thought if anything i'd put 2 in storage and buy 2 deep dish knockoffs for the back. He said they're really faded so they might get a new powdercoat job.

Oh and i guess these are actually Speedline's not Sterns.

I ran across some of those 4 lug sterns about 3 years ago, guy only wanted 300 for them. I thought they were knock offs so I passed on em. I could have choked when I found out what they were worth.

For your car; ARE's all day. I understand the significance of original Stern/Saleen wheels but with your car I don't think they would ... "mesh" well?
