For my wife's birthday I got her a pair of 17x10.5 black Bullits and 315-35zr17 Eagle F1 GS-D3s for the rear of her Cobra. The fronts are 17x8 with 255-40's. Whaddaya think?

Note: Installing these requires the removal of the quad shocks. Not a problem if you have aftermarket control arms, but something to keep in mind. Exhaust clearance was not a problem.

The tires look great. Did you find a local place that gives a good deal on the Eagle F1 GS D3... I am thinking of getting them for my 99 Cobra and I live just North of you

I bought the tires from www.tirerack.com. I work at a car dealership and I am able to buy at wholesale from Tire Rack, about 15% below the prices on their regular website. I called my local Goodyear dealership to see if they could come close to the price at TR and they told me that the TR's price was $27 lower than what Goodyear charges them. I've yet to find anywhere that can beat Tire Rack's prices.

JFYI, if you flip the quad shocks the other way around the wheels should clear them that way...Unless she's got aftermarket control arms on there, then you don't need them like you said

I run 17x10.5 FRs and Nitto 315/35 on the rear of my 97 Cobra and have absolutely no fitment/rubbing issues.

I have a torque arm, panhard rod, rear sway bar, coilovers in the front. Eibachs with koni's in the rear, it's pretty low, I believe I have upper and lower control arms too, but i'm not sure

My car has Eibach ProKit springs so it's dropped about an inch and a half. There are no clearance issues with the lowering.

Also depends on the rims and the backspacing. I have Saleen 18x10 with BFG 295's. Had to adjust the tailpipe on the passenger side alittle to get clearance. No problem with quads. Not sure how 315's will do, don't think I could get them on mine. Different manufacturers are actually a little different in actual size too. Good luck.
