i just purchased a set of 17x9 4 lug 03 cobra replica wheels. The wheels are 18mm offset with 5.70" backspacing. I was wondering what is the largest tire i can run up front and out back without rubbing issues or dealing with rack limiters.

Additional info- It is a stock ride height 87 gt, with aftermarket control arms and no quadshocks

thanks!

I would personally run 275's out back, but there was a guy on here that had a set of 315 nitto's on his rears..looked bad ass, but all tires are different. For a 9" wheel I'd run a 275. Up front, to try to reduce as much friction as possible, I'd run at most a 255

only 18mm offset? Thats going to hurt you big time in the fitment department. I dont beleive youll be able to fit a 275 out back.

hmm.. anyone else have any experience or opinion on the subject? Id like to run 275 out back if it will fit but i know 18mm offset isnt very common.. and i've also heard 87-89 front inner fenders are smaller than 90+ so should i expect any rubbing with 255s?

go 235 front. I have 245s and have had some rubbimg issues that I think have been worked out. 275 rear or 315 nittos should fit with some clearancing. I believe that mine are a 26mm offset/6" backspacing.

Do not put 235s on a 9" wheel. The tire should not be narrower than the wheel it goes on.
