I have an 87 gt, will 17x9 rims fit on my car, mostly wondering about the front?

Yes they will fit with 5.95 inch backspacing. I had some on my 88 GT with 245-45-17's and the only thing they rubbed was the a-arms at full lock so I bought some steering rack limiters and it worked fine.

It depends on the wheel offset ...
Generally, avoid anything bigger than an 8" ... they tend to stick outside of the wheelwell and track the road like dog sheet.

You may spend more time having the unseen ruts driving your car then you are ... takes the fun out of driving

BTW ... what wheels are you looking at?

I don't mean to hijack, but where can one purchase those steering rack limiters?

Well, like stated above they should have a 5.95" backspacing (+24mm offset) if you're wanting to run 9" up front.

The 235's on a 9" wheel will have a little too much balloon look to the sidewall ... I suggest going with a 245/45 up front and a 275/40 in rear while reversing the quad shocks.

Thanks. No it was not too low. I thought it sat just right.

I had Motorsport "C" springs.

Thanks,

You can upload your pictures to a site like photobucket.com or cardomain.com.

They were fog light covers.

Yikes!! I've heard the C's are a little too rough and to go with B's, but I wonder if the B's drop it the same ... that drop seems lower than 3/4-1"

I have had both B's and C's and didn't really notice much difference driving between them. They both offered the same ride height.
