18" Cobras with 335 Tires Installed!..Not Digging Them

18" Cobras with 335 Tires Installed!..To Big?

So I bought some 18 inch Cobra wheels (fronts are 18x9 and rear are 18x10.5). On the front I have 265/35/18 and they look good so no problem there.

On the back I have some 335/30/18 tires. They fit fine with no rubbing however I thought they would flush with the fender and they don't like I had seen in some pics). Its not the tires since it looks the the wheel sticks outs no matter what. I thought that 10.5 wheels would flush . Is my only choice to do downgrade to a size 9 inch wheel?

Also i figure 18 inch wheels would cover my gap more but they don't (see pic) ..Currently running eiback pro sport.

That is kinda lame, you should have deep dish rears with less backspacing

other companies make that rim in an 18x10.
I've seen that 18x10.5 version with a different offset, and it definitely sat further in the fender than yours. I'm surprised the offset is like that.

can you take a pic from the rear corner of the car so we can see how it lines up with the fender?

I've had 335/35/17s before, and they bulged off of my old deep dish Black Bullits pretty good. I think the 35 over the 30 sidewall really makes a difference. Your tires are really low profile, and they don't really flow with the design of that rim. I'd say try a taller sidewall, since it would fill that fender gap a lot better, it will look sweet on that wheel, and it will bulge off of the rim a bit more.

I was afraid since they were 335's that 35 sidewall would make them rub so i went the 30 route. But I can see how it would lessen the gap.

Maybe deepdish wheels would make it worse since the hub being tucked in would push the face out? i dunno

I already have eibach lowering springs, i can't lower anymore unless start cutting

WARNING NOOB QUESTION COMING UP

Is there such thing as an aftermarket brake drum that is smaller (i think thats what its called)..In the picture below I highlighted the "brake drum" in red. I'm looking for one that is about 1 inch skinner in the middle (I highlighted that part blue)

The reason I ask is because I got under the car and it looks like I still got about 1 and half inch of space before it starts hitting that white shock.

Not all tires are created equal. Some are wider than others. My Goodyear GSD3 315's look as wide, if not a bit wider.

Those are calipers which are one disc brakes, drums are on drum brakes. And that caliper isn't going to move, the white torque arm only compresses, what you highlighted is the hub, i'm thinking those wont interfere - no worries.

You have 10 inch wheels and I have 10 and half inch wheels though which I think is what I should have gone with. Even if I put 315 tires that won't shrink the RIM since it still sticks out from the fender..

I like your drop though, do your H&R springs drop lower then my pro eibachs?
