Me too!!!!

I tried asking a question about using 18x9 up front, and 18x10.5 rears (new saleen replicas) on a 97 cobra, and didn't get an answer. Have you tried tirerack.com? I thought about using 18x9's but I have a slight traction problem with my cobra! Wish I could help more. If you don't get an answer try www.theinjectedzone.com I know the site host, and he knows what he is talking about. He might even be able to get you a deal on tires. Good luck

i have a 96 cobra and with 18x9. i tried 275 on the front they dont FIT now i have 245 in the front and 275 in the back. i think the biggest you can get in the front would be 255's b/c my 245 i think stick out far enough. i hate the way our cars front tires stick out further than our back ones. hope this helps

I have 255/40/18 tires all the way around on my Cobra. The car is lower 1.5 inches and has a 1.5 inch wider rear in it. I occasionally rub in the rear over big bumps. If I had the old solid rear in it, I am pretty certain the rears wouldn't hit. A 265/35/18 will fit but it is a little shorter than your original 245/45/17s. The 255/40/18s are a little taller than stock tires.

What serendipity! I just today picked up my wheels from Customs(18x9 Fittipaldi Tubolare) and have been looking for tires. I highly recomend a company called 1010tires.com. They have a tire size calculator and a tech forum with tire specialists that know what is going on. I purchased some serious snows from these people (Dunlop wintersports Porsche approved) and they delivered in 30 hrs. Give it a try. I will be going with 285 35 18 rear and 265 35 18 ft.

Tirerack goes ONLY by mfgr specs, so if they see something other than a 245 45 17, they'll question it. I ordered 255 35 18 tires for my fronts, and the guy was like "are you sure those are gonna fit"? I was like yeah, don't worry about it... But I guess they must deal with a bunch of boneheads that have no clue so they offer the advice.

Your 275 35 18's will fit fine...265 35 18 will work well also.

Check out my sig. my car's lowered 2.5"(1.5" + cut 1 coil) and i have the saleen replica's, 265/35/18 front(which is what i would recommend for all four, for rotating purposes) and i put 285/35/18 in the rear. All Nitto 555....my tires only rub if i corner really really hard, other than that never, good luck
