Brian is welding the trunk dropoffs to the quarter panels and he should be finished welding on the body. Next week it will be coming off the jig and going on a cart.

All the major welding is finished time to take it off the jig and back on the cart

Sprayed primer before the patch is welded in place





The welds were ground down and filled with duraglass



The new sheetmetal that had not been epoxy primed before was sanded to bare metal



Two coats of SPI red oxide epoxy primer. It is darker than the photos

Outside this is the color of the red oxide epoxy not how it looks in the booth with all the lights.

There was a little rust in the right A pillar



It was sanded and epoxy primed

It is starting to look like a 1969 Mustang

Sorry I have forgotten to update

The bottom of the car was tapped off getting ready for primer.



Epoxy primed





Hood and deck lid are painted with a couple of coats of clear





Front valance and head light buckets painted Acapulco blue with 4 coats of SPI Universal Clear





Inside the trunk painted

Thursday I sprayed 3 coats of ProSpray Acapulco blue



Friday I sprayed 3 coats of SPI Universal clear





After wet sanding the doors I sprayed 3 more coats of clear today

A lot has happened since my last post.

The doors have been wet sanded and buffed



The body has been wet sanded and buffed





Doors and deck lid have been installed



Rear bumper, gas tank and cap installed
