For Sale 1971 Pinto w/'91 Mustang 5.0L V8

$7500, serious offers considered. No trades please.
Goleta, Ca.

1971 Ford Pinto with V8 conversion.

The V8 Conversion was done using a 1991 Mustang GT with a 5.0L EFI V8 and 5 speed manual trans. This car and its parts have been heavily modified to accommodate the conversion. The firewall is from the Mustang and was recessed in 2" back. Also, a Fuel Safe fuel cell has been mounted in the body in place of the spare tire well. The car was completely rewired using a Ron Francis wiring harness and fuel injection harness.

With over 25k invested just in parts the list is extensive. Holley Systemax aluminum heads and intake, Lunati cam, roller rockers, custom aluminum radiator, dual 10" electric fans, Sanderson shorty headers, 2 1/2" custom exhaust, Borla mufflers, Center Force clutch, performance axles, Mustang II front suspension, tubular A arms, 8" posi rear end, '05 Mustang GT wheels with 225/45 ZR17 front and 245/45 ZR17 rear tires, Baer brakes with custom hard lines, brake balance controller and much more.

The fully upholstered interior includes a 12-point pony stock roll cage w/ full halo, Autometer gauges, Corbeau seats, 5-point cam lock belts, and a CD player.

The car was built by my late father and unfortunately final paint and powder coating was left undone. This car is one of a kind and was built for a true white knuckle adrenaline rush. You will never see another Pinto built for open track events and slaloms like this.
