Does anyone know where i can get a motor mount kit for putting a v8 302 into a v6 stock mustang of year 1983. What else do i need to do? It has an automatic transmission
it is basically a bolt in swap. you use the factory components for the 83 mustang, including the dual sump oil pan, etc. if you are using an older block, before 1978, then you just need an oil pan with the dipstick mount in the pan, and they are available from a number of sources. if the V6 in the 83 is the 3.8, and most likely it is, you can reuse the stock AOD trans, though i recommend getting one from a later 5.0, say around 89-93 as they have all the factory upgrades.
