1985 5.0 coupe

Is it worth getting?? it has blue leather kinda crappy, its got some bad ruts spots not sure about floors, and it needs a front clip/radiator support, but the strut tower rails are not bent just the front pass. corner. its not to bad but like i said needs some body work and some interior work! not sure of running condition its been sitting a while. i am sure i can get the car for nothing or next to nothing so would it be worth it or should i look for a different car? i live on an island and this car happens to be here. and thing special about an original 85 5.0 coupe??

You've already got a pretty sweet GT that you put a helluva lot of work into, why do you want a rusted, crunched '85 coupe that may not run? Not that you shouldn't get it, but because your reason will probably affect the answer.

Actually there is something special.

a factory 5.0 COUPE, not hatch, was a rareity in 1985 or 1986. If you check the numbers on 5.0.org there were only so many produced. It's not nearly as famed as the SVO's or anything, but how many 5.0 coupes in those years have you ever seen? The '87-93's are common.

The next thing to find out is if it's a stick or an auto. A stick would be the choice one because it has the higher horsepower motor with roller lifters and a holley 600 CFM carb.

no its an auto. and its an 85

Oh and there is a mustang ghia coupe there as well its in decent condition not sure on the year or anything but its not in bad condition! needs a windsheild though!

blah, it's not really that rare then. If it's an auto it has the low horsepower CFI Injected motor, nothing TOO special about it, although it is still a factory 5.0 coupe, very good find for that year.

I'm not a Ghia person, so i'm not sure of how rare they are.
