Progress Thread 1985 Gt I Finally Have A T Top Car.

To be clear, I did not use isolators on the springs ( front or rear, top or bottom ). I do have the weight jacker rear lowers so I can adjust the rear ride height.

So if the front ride height is too low I can add the isolators to raise it up a tad. The stance looks good, I absolutely would not want to be any lower.

I'll prob run the isos. I have the same weight jackers out back, so I can adjust the height back there. I love having those arms as they have been great at adjusting rear height through my various tire/spring combos I've run out back.

It is on the new suspension, it is not done but I wanted to see it on the suspension

That's really a beautiful mustang.

I assume it drives pretty nice now with the mods you did.

Anything big (drivetrain) in the future? Or just enjoy it for a while after you install the exhaust?

Dude, the car looks amazing! That interior is mint, really drives home the point that I need to do something about my stained, worn out mess.

Is it weird that I'm a little jealous that you have a carb'd car? Haha. Something about carbureted cars (that are actually supposed to be carbureted) just feel more hot rod.

Thanks guys, I actually have not driven it at all yet. Still am not quite done with the new master cylinder and of course need brakes bleed and rear diff gear oil.

Needs outside door belt moldings, they are trashed. I strongly dislike the shifter knob, I thought I had a stock one somewhere, cant find it!

Another order to LMR

Belt moldings
x pipe, with hangers
trans crossmember
some rubber hangers

I still need a catback and am leaning towards magnaflow street, I wanted the walker super turbo but cant find it anywhere anymore :(

What catback is the most mellow sounding ?

Edit. the existing cheery bomb set up has a bunch of small rust holes in the piping so its days are numbered. Not the mention that stock set up brings shame to the entire Mustang family.

Magnaflow still gets my vote brother, borla or bassani if you don't mind the cash. In all truthfulness, if you want to piece together your own system, Dynomax mufflers are hard to beat for good flow and mellow sound.
