My 1986 gt project car is running absurdly rich. I have been through nearly every sensor in the car, have taken everything from the lower intake up off and have reinstalled it with new injectors. It had been sitting for around 15 years before i had it running and it wasn’t running rich when i first had it running, but all of a sudden it runs super rich and cannot idle on its own

Electrical - How To Pull Codes From EEC-IV In 86- 95 5.0 Mustangs

@Noobz347 - The code dump procedure isn't in the sticky - you may want to add it... Dump the codes: Codes may be present even if the Check Engine Light (CEL) isn't on. Dumping the computer diagnostic codes on 86-95 Mustangs Revised 26-July-2011. Added need to make sure the clutch is...

Did you get the right plugs? Do you know for sure that you have stock (E6SE) heads? Those heads were one-year-only (1986) on the Mustang and they had special plugs as well (AWSF42C, not ASF42C from every other year). Did you put the plugs back in the correct (counter-clockwise) firing order?

1982-95 H.O. 5.0L firing order: 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8

Yes I made sure that I had the correct plugs and yes I have the e6se heads as well. This is why this situation is becoming more confusing as I go on.

Damn near bone stock, nothing that would alter the engines performance by any means. New valve covers, new fuel injectors of same 19lb flow, new sensors.

I had my car run crazy rich when my MAP sensor wasn't getting proper signal. The vacuum wasn't connected.
