tried to do conversion on my 86 gt. Using a a9l cause its a 5 speed

went and got air sensor plug and some pins for ecu from pick n pull
Went through all steps till i got to vss, cause my 86gt dont have cruise it does not have the vss, so i order new sensor and speedo cable. Figured i would start the car cause it says those 3 connections are optional ( the fuel pump and vss) and the car starts and dies right away? So i start reserching and come across something about the o2 sensor harness. I did not change the engine harness and i am reading stuff online saying that the 86 harness will not work at all for the conversion, anybody got any knowledge of this subject? Much appreciated! !
