In 1986 they didnt make a cobra style mustang with a v8 right? I have a 1986 with the 5.0 but the valve covers have "cobra" written on them... The later years cobra was a 351 wasn't it? What do I have here? Any guesses?
The 1986 engines were the first to have the EFI system. The stock covers are plain castings. Ford sold an aftermarket COBRA valve cover set that would fit under the EFI intake. Without seeing them, I am guessing that is what you have.
