I am trying to replace my serpentine belt on my 86 GT.
I had a goodyear belt on there that i replaced back in the late 80's.
I just bought a new OEM Motorcraft belt and its about an ince too short.
I called and verified the part number and told its correct.
I do notice the ribs on the new belt are a bit wider and i am thinking maybe the belt isnt sitting in the pulley grooves fully.
Any one experience this before?
