i have an 86 5.0 sometimes when i try to start it it will turn over really slow and not start. like its struggling. i know its not the battery or the alternator. if i come back the next day it will start right up. anyone have any clue as to what could be causing this?

Since this video I've converted to MAF and started making my own custom CAI. I'm gonna cut the flange off a MAF sensor housing and have a welder weld it onto the custom piping.

Here's my latest project:

Paleolithic themed ragtop, (going after the mustang o saurus look)

images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQFgZ66Jxf14hVh9B7d_DDTBExRJr7wMoczN7Z7EFiuaNqL9ILr

Biped power, w/ 3/4 leg cam:
"Don't know how it steers" manual rack
Diggin in your heels brakes;
Pterydactyl skin covered Corbeau racing seats;
BF Goodrock series hybrid wheel/tire combo:
205 x 65 x 10 "granite series" fronts;
215 x 65 x 11 "granite series" w/ agressive chisled rears;
Oak sub frame connectors.

Still a work in progress, thinkin' about two toning it birch on top, walnut on bottom.

This has always been one of my favorite walk arounds......:D

Wonder what mods could be done to it to pick up a quick 50 hp?

And before you turkeys start asking, NO, THAT'S NOT ME, LOL!

That is either a heat soaked starter, failing starter solenoid, or aging/corroded starter wires.

try a mini gear reduction starter - ebay for app. $52.70 (free shipping) - installed one on my 88 GT and it been doing great for over a year now - good luck. Check out the mini starter that Summit Racing carries for your Mustang.

---------- - check out the Ford mini starter offered on ebay / app. $56.00 (free shipping) - installed one on my 88 5.0 Mustang with no problem - I have long tube headers on my car, so the extra header to starter clearance is appreciated and makes starter installation easier - wire included in kit.
