The car won't start but it turns over. First thought was the timing belt but after careful consideration, and a mechanic looking at it for free, it is probably the fuel pump (I think that's what he said).

Up to the point of it dying, for about a month it has kind of studdered around corners when accelerating and stuff. Which seems to point to a fuel-related part. Obviously there are other possibilities.

No mods or anything done to the car.

Also the front axel has something worn down on it too, I need to double-check what is wrong again. I will ask the the mechanic and post the detailed problem tomarrow. Just wanted to give a heads up!

Anyway, they wanna have me pay around $700 parts and labor. If anyone knows somebody that can fix it for cheaper let me know. I know my dad wants to get this car working again because of the fuel efficiency. He may jump and get it fixed for expensive if I don't find a better deal soon.

Good news is when the car died, my parents bought me my Stang.

sounds fuel related if it was acting up around corners. A mustang fuel pump fits in the tank if its a HO...if its a non-GT then I wouldnt even want to guess...dont know much about the old CFI stuff. Except that they arent the greatest. And expensive to fix unless your buying from the wrecking yard.

Shoot, I overlooked a wrecking yard idea. Yeah the part is not cheap, but the labor is a lot more.
