Well i bought this mustang 4 weeks ago in non running condition the person i bought from tried to moates tune and didnt have all the stuff on right but i lined it all up sold the moates and got it professionaly tuned. has windsor sr 200cc heads, eld intake, fcam, 42# injectors, 75mm mass, 70mm tb, 255 pump, no ac, no smog, elec water pump, 3"aluminum radiator, f1 stage 2 clutch, and on3turbo kit 10#'s boost..

now my big debate with myself is. Upgrade the t5 with the gforce t5 kit or swap for a c4 so it can stay in boost. Its not my daily driver or a track car just more of a weekend warrior lol

As another member stated, auto is the way to go with a turbo. You never lose boost between shifts like a manual does and you can still launch hard with a good stall converter

Ew. Let's keep Ford with Ford and Chevy with Chevy. Granted, it is a damn good transmission, I just think it's wrong to switch stuff around like that.

I have always wondered about this,...How is an air-to-air I/C doing any good 2/3rds covered by the bumper cover? I see in the pics that even then there were mods to the lower portion of the cover to even get the 1/3rd that's on the bottom exposed.

aluminum still helps pull heat out of it.

when ford makes a trans as strong as the TH400 or the glide you can say that...

I didn't say anything about Ford having a stronger transmission than GM, did I? Nope, just simply stated that Ford parts should be in Ford.
Oh, and I'd choose a C6 over a 400 any day of the week

Because it's a Ford and it'll bolt right up? Plus the C6 is a heavy duty transmission. I mean Ford DID copy the majority of the transmission in the E4OD, 4R100, and 5R110W. That just about covers their heavy duty transmissions from the early 90's to today...

a TH400 will bolt right up also with the right bell housing. when was the last time you saw a race car with a C6... the reason i suggested a C4 for him is it will out last his stock block set up. if down the road he goes dart block and a big turbo then id suggest a Th400.

trust me a i bleed ford blue but everything has its place. a C6 isnt anywhere in the performance world....

Granted, I don't go to races and don't see many race cars in my area (drag strips aren't close to me) I do know the C6 is a damn good and strong transmission. I live in a very hilly and very agricultural minded area, so I get plenty of transmissions coming in my shop that have been over worked and abused so I know which transmissions are good and what aren't. Hell I've got a C6 in my truck and it's holding up good and I know what kind of abuse I throw out to it, plus the transmission was built probably 10 or more years ago by my dad so obviously they're reliable.

And you said the TH400 would bolt right up with the right bellhousing. The Th400 doesn't have a removable bellhousing so you'd have to go through the trouble of cutting off the factory bellhousing and bolting on an aftermarket one with the pump bolts (which I don't like that idea, I think it would put too much strain on the pump area). Also, the torque converter bolt pattern obviously isn't gonna work (Ford uses 4 studs, GM uses 3 bolts) so there's an adapter right there or start drilling some holes. Just seems like a lot of work when a C6 will bolt right up.
