There is no doubt the Steelers had a tough schedule. I'll be rooting for them.

I have watched this video probably about 1,000 times from every angle available..

the ball was never in his non throwing hand, when his throwing arm came down he got hit right as his hand crossed his non throwing hand that caused a little contact with the non throwing hand..

In my opinion it was close but should have been ruled a fumble but also woodson should have been called for the helmet to helmet and the hand in the facemask of the helmet on that play..

See raiders fans take one side of the the play and ignore the illegal contact saying "well it was not called"

Ok then we can call it even they blew the fumble ruling and blew the roughing the passer ruling so the right team ended up with the ball anyways

watch the non raiders propaganda angle of that play and you can see clearly that as the arm was coming down woodson's helmet slamed into bradys and his hand caught more facemask then football.

Looks like a wash to me.

Plus as far as I am concerned the raiders had plenty of time to stop the pats after that and they could have won it in OT

same for the seahawks even if the TD was not a TD they still could have won that game.. Every game has missed calls, ball calls.. the patriots like every other team has gotten the benefit and have been screwed by them in the past and the will in the future too.

BTW why do raiders fans think they would have won the SB that year had they won the snowbowl game..

They are making a lot of assumptions that they would have been able to pull off the same back to back upsets NE did.. The superbowl that year was a epic upset almost as much of one as last years SB.

The raiders were a lower seed with a 10-6 record that season, the patriots were the 2 seed with a 11-5 record and had a bye. Oakland fans need to stop with the revisionist history that the 2001 raiders were some uber team that was screwed out of a SB..

Bluffing024 said:
I have to disagree there. If the Steelers or the Ravens win it that will put either team at 2 SB's this decade. There is still 09 to be played, and if one of them wins this year and repeats next year that would put the Ravens or Steelers at 3 this decade. It may sound unlikely but the Steelers are almost always in the hunt and the Ravens are a team on the rise.

yeah your right if the steelers or ravens win the SB this year they would have a chance at winning it next year too that would tie them with the patriots for the decade..

then it would be open for debate but i still go with the pats over either because

1. more SB's appeared in

2. more seasons deep into the playoffs (05 pats lost in afc divisional and 06 lost in afc championship game

If the ravens do it then the first and the last two would have such a wide separation that it's hard to consider it the same core group of players..

In my opinion if the steelers win this and the next then they would have a much more legitimate claim to being the team of the decade.

Pretty dumb statement.. considering usually its brady and the pats with all the media bliss....

Also how are some of the teams that lost this weekend overblown??? I'm pretty sure the Giants beat some really good teams. Loosing plax, coupled with peaking too early did us in this season IMO.

Wow just think of how much more crap the major sports media would have made up about spygate had they not been in love with the patriots and brady

LOL those clowns were trying to invent new ways to use tape in game to bury them more... then inventing stories like the walk through tape and according to you they have a love fest with NE..

I am not sure about brady but quite a large chunk of the media has HATED belichick for a long time.

I was giving Redline a hard time about the Brady thing because he was talking about questionable calls. Every game has them, and that was my point.

Dude. . . The media LOVES the Pats. The media doesn't coddle BB cause he's an ass most of the time to them. But they love his team.

There is no way its a NE vs. the world going on here

HMMM really then why did they not try to play down spygate instead of misleading millions and inventing impossible ways to use the videotapes?

I don't think it's the world against the patriots.. I think sports are big business and one part of it's product they want to market the most is the manning brothers.. it's got everything needed to get more than just regular football fans interested and that what the big wigs at the NFL office want.. simply put the NFL wants to market manning and the media is more than happy to help..

Basketball does it all the time, some even say the big stars get favorable calls..

If the NFL wanted to feature the patriots as a marketing tool they would have handled spygate much different..

Belichick and maybe others in this organization has really pissed in somebodys cornflakes they get no favors from the league and the majority of the media

I can't believe after spygate some of you still think the NFL and or the media has a patriots love fest going on.. before spygate you might have had a leg to stand on but after?

Only reason you heard a lot about the patriots is they did a lot of winning for several years and won three sb's kind of hard not to write or talk about them..

Even quite a bit of the local boston media does not like belichick since he runs the team in a way that makes it hard on sportswriters to do their job.. Nothing comes out of foxboro unless lord belichick stamps it first..

Many in the media don't like that, they want drama... they want guys talking trash and inside scoops.. You get nothing in NE and like it..

They do love them. They were loved this year for having a good year. They lead news stories when ANYTHING happens. Tom Brady gets a cold it's all over the world. Like anyone outside of NE cares but it is what it is.

Just trust me, they do. It's not really a problem it's just fact. Its because they have been successful.

Wow... This just really sucks.....

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – The architect of the Giants’ defense is leaving to reconstruct a new team as its head coach.

The Giants signed practice squad QB Andre Woodson to their roster this week

Steve Spagnuolo, the defensive coordinator who helped the Giants win the Super Bowl last season and the NFC East title in 2008, today was named the new head coach of the St. Louis Rams.

“I’ve very happy for Steve,” Coach Tom Coughlin said. “He did a great job in his two years with the Giants. We’ve been very, very aggressive on defense and we’ve been able to have two very successful years back-to-back. Steve has made an outstanding contribution to our team and we wish Steve and Maria all the best.”

The Eagles got a huge break on the kickoff ordeal earlier in the first half, I say it's even. It was a good game, congrats Kurt Warner!

i disagree. that kickoff looked like it did not hit the guy, stayed inbounds, and they got the ball right where it hit, so it was the right outcome... not the right call (hit the player, then went out of bounds), but the right outcome.
