Still pissed off about that forum beatdown you took a few days ago? Don't take it out on me man, I tried to help ya out and you just kept firing away.why dont you shut up for once b/c you dont know what your talking about as usual. If you were not too busy nut swinging off cutler and obama then you might know more of what is going on.
Yeah, that's the one I read about.A few days ago Brady did an interview up in Canada, of course he was asked those questions and he knew that going in.
If he or the patriots were hiding something then he would not have taken questions such as how is the knee and will you play next season. He said he has good days and bad days but over all everything was good and on schedule as far as rehab. Why the hell would he say that if it was an out right lie? SO Brady is the one lying to us all and all the phantom reports of him needing another surgery and not playing next year are all true
Here you go again with your asinine extremes again. Come on Redline, when will you learn?
Players almost always are over optimistic about their injuries. I can still remember Terrell Davis telling people that he was fine in 2000 when he was suffering from a degenerative condition in his knee. There are countless other examples.
Now does this mean Brady is wrong, or even worse, lying? Absolutely not, but a player's self diagnosis of his injury recovery should never be taken as gospel truth.
And when all is said and done, he'll probably be OK. ACL tears are fairly common and almost everyone can come back 100%. However, those reports of Brady needing more surgery or other issues were from somewhat reliable sources IIRC, yet you are steadfast in your belief that it is all some kind of conspiracy against the Patriots.
I hope, for your sake, that those rumors are in fact wrong. Otherwise, you're going to look very stupid and be very depressed.

Even if Brady somehow does'nt come back, Cassell is one hell of a back-up I think. It would have been realllllly interesting how they would have done in the Playoffs.

Cassel would be a fair to average qb with a normal offense. we have to remember this was a record setting offense he took over and the results were very mixed.
He did better than expected but he is not even close to as good as brady.
I think this current patriot offense just about any nfl qb could put up near pro bowl numbers.. much like the colts offense in the middle of this decade could hve gotten decent results with a fair qb but the great qb's ( brady, manning) is what made those offenses history making.

Not so sure about this. With a QB who doesn't rely on his legs so much, sure, it's highly possible he can make a good comeback. I remember when Jason Sehorn (amazing young CB on the Giants) tore his ACL. He was never the same after a year to heal.
I'd think it would depend on a position on how much a torn & repaired ACL will affect the player and how serious the injury initially was.

Jason Sehorn screwed himself by not rehabbing properly. I remember the commotion back then because he pretty much went off to did his own thing rather than letting the team be involved in the rehab.
Very rarely will a player not be able to come back completely from an ACL injury. Those who don't come back usually have other factors beside the ACL that complicate things.
They came up with just about every excuse for why they lost that game except that Flaco was a rookie and the steelers D was to much for him
Pretty much. That is a sorry ass site. I mean how could their beloved Ravens actually loose to the Steelers three times in one year w/o the help of the refs, NFL, God, CIA and so on.
But whatever
I'm kinda tired of the NFL network and ESPN humping the Cardinals already too. They cut away from a James Harrison interview to hear Kurt Warner talk about himself some more. They just love the Cards and it's a feel good story and all but c'mon... This is a team full of No1. draft pics and first rounders. So to say that it's shocking that they are in the Super Bowl is kinda uneducated
Rod Woodson was one of the few who actually came back just good
Lots of players have. Tory James tore his ACL and a couple other ligaments in 1997 while playing for the Broncos. He went on to have a excellent career with the Broncos, Raiders and Bengals. Ian Gold tore his ACL in 2003 and came back just as good as before. So did John Mobley.
Those are just the Broncos players I remember coming back.

One of the very very few players that the Steelers have cut because they thought that that players career was over and were wrong.
Come to think of it that's really the only one I can think of
So is this Bluffings thread next season?
Yep...
hopefully the one after that will go to redline or another pats fan

I took it one year, its your turn.
:SNSign: And we are about to hit 100 pages. . .again
It only counts when the season is still active. Once the Super Bowl thread is made the "Official NFL Thread" is more or less over even though there is still sporadic posting. Good thread over all for the year but did not hit 100 pages while in the regular season. I put that on the fact that some of the regulars like you and me have not returned this year such as Kidd the famed Indy fan.

Take out the spygate junk from last years thread and it may have not made 100 either.

That was only kept going by a certain few who just could not let it go who insisted that there was more to the whole story. Myself and a few other pats fans in here expressed that its a dead issue but some continued to keep it going. And look at who was right all along
Pats just hit Matt Cassel with the franchise tag. Looks like they may not be all that confident with Brady's injury.

It has nothing to do with that, its b/c now they can trade him for a first round pick.
Damn, wish you know anything about football.
