anyway the season kicks off in just two more days I cant wait for this season to get rolling. Lots of unanswered questions as of yet.

On a side note where the hell is Kidd ????

Good question. It looks like Kidd was here for a visit early August but hasn't posted since June.
Perhaps he will be back now that the season is getting underway.
BTW: Brady better do well. I picked 5th in FFL and selected him.

He played fantasy last season on here I figured he would be back for that so I could whoop up on him some more. I came 4 picks short in round 1 of getting brady but I got Payton so its all good. Going to be hard to route for Peyton to do well but thats how it goes.

How did ward do for the giants in preseason? Im picking him up as a free agent.

Peyton and Brady haven't played in preseason.. You guys think they will both be rusty for a game or two at least?

Ward seems to have recoved from his broken leg very well. He is listed #2 on the Giant's depth chart but may be replaced sometime by Bradshaw if the kid learns to block better.

I don't think Ward will generate a bunch of FFL points unless there's more injuries.

Its a shame too, cause Ward is a much better runner then Droughns IMO.

Rusty? No not them. They have played the game long enough to know what to do.

I'll see how Ward does, I dropped a rookie from Carolina and Ahmad Green from Houston so Im in need of another RB w/ Maroney. I'll give Ward a few wks but I also have my eye on someone else and I'll get him if I need to. Also got free agent RB Kenny Watson from the Bengals

Predict the score!
-----------------------------------
Opening night September 4th, 2008 at 19:00 EDT
Giants at home vs. Redskins
Post up your final score guess and maybe 1 or 2 predictions in case of a tie.

I'll go 1st:
27-9 Giants. Skins do not get a TD.

and go...

Thats really tough for me, Giants do not have the defense they used to have last season. Im not sure of who to really pick Im not confident of the giants even winning this game. Either way it will be close 4 points or less

If either of them, it might be Peyton. But I doubt either of them will be rusty.

Last year Moss didn't even participate due to an inury and he was a big time impact from opening kickoff. Brady has been throwing and practicing with the team, but just not playing in the games.

Randy Moss Played no pre season games last year and tore it up on week #1. I dont remember the stats off the top of my head but it was very impressive.

I pulled this off the NFL site, with this being said Im going for a Washington Win on Thursday Night.

The Giants allowed 22 points and 309 yards of offense against the Redskins in a Week 15 loss at home in 2007. In Week 3, they allowed 17 points and 260 yards of offense against the team they'll play Thursday at home in the Week 1 opener

NYG -17

Washington - 24

That Giants/Redskins game is a tough one to call. I think it'll be a somewhat low-scoring affair, but it'll be an offensive struggle, imo.

I'm gonna say... man, this is tough to call.. umm.. 21-17 Redskins.

Either way I think it'll be a close game til the very end, I don't see either time pulling away. If Umenyiora had been in there, then i'd say the score would be reversed.

And for my next prediction..

New England: 38
Kansas City: 14

Brady gets off to a "slow" start, but then ends up throwing the usual 4 TD's, 2 to Moss. Maroney gets a rushing TD, and Gostkowski hits a 37-yard field goal.

Come on, guys.. let's here some predictions of other scores for week 1

G-man- 24
Skins - 27

I think this will be a close game, but think the skins will pull off the win.

Any predictions for the Browns-Cowboys game?

*wonders why he ask this question*

AS long as the Browns show up and play I think they can pull off a win. They will have to play all 4 quarters though and there D will have to hold up. If they do that. I think it should be a close game.

Dallas - 17
Cleveland - 24

Well Bakos: Just how healthy is Owens? If he is 100% or close, I'm sure Romo and him will start the year off with a bang.

Last year- week 1 was Cows vs. Giants. Big shoot-out with a high scoring but close game. The Cows won that one.

I'll guess the Cowboys over the Browns 24-17.

If our secondary can step up and play (McDonald and Pool should be healthy), it should be close. If not, it will be a field day for owens.

This time tomorrow night the NFL Season will be underway

GOOOOO WASHINGTON!!!!, I expect the Giants to finish in the basement of the NFC East this season and this game will be a big indication of if that will happen or not. If the Giants cant put away Washington tomorrow night then I expect them to have a lot of trouble w/ Dallas and the Eagles especially since the Defense is not what it was last season and the unknown factor of how long can Jacobs stay healthy???

The Giants lost the 1st 2 games last year so no worries. Remember, they eventually improved until the Superbowl where they "Stomped Out" the Patriots in front of a record breaking audience.
