I still have issues with ignorant people laughing about the Pats losing the superbowl, but it's mainly cows fans who think they're the greatest ever.

I shall laugh and have my revenge when the Cows don't win the superbowl this year.

I don't see anything on your roster that would make a fair trade. Sorry, not interested.

Lets not have a pile on..

I am glad my PC broke the day of the SB since I probably would have gone off the handle with the pile on that was targeted at redline. I really don't want to see another member suffer the same thing

No worries. It got heated earlier in the year but it's a football thread and football is a violent sport that gets people fired up. We're all adults here and can throw smack around, and with the exception of the beginning of the year it's all stayed pretty much football focused.

I won't speak for anyone else, but personally I can have a very heated football debate with someone but once the game is over all the bad feelings are left behind.

I bet Shanahan is kicking himself. He declined a trade opportunity to bring in Randy Moss right before the Pats got him; it was said that "he's got nothing left and he can't run like he used to." Good call Denver

Don't feel bad.. Green Bay did the same. They're both probably shaking their heads. Belichick knew what he could do, that's why they got him.

I believe it's was Green Bay's GM that said that, not anyone in the Denver organization.

I don't think it had anything to do with talent.

A) Moss is getting up in years, Denver is in the middle of a youth movement.
B) At the time we probably wouldn't have been able to fit Moss under the salary cap, especially when it came time to resign him
C) Denver has been ridding itself of low character guys, and Moss has had well documented problems and motivational issues.

Plus, we already had Brandon Marshall and (at the time) a healthy Javon Walker. We couldn't really afford to blow picks on Moss.

Same here, unless somebody really strikes a nerve.

My bad, you're right. It was Green Bay who said he couldn't run. Denver wouldn't take him for whatever reasons, Davis didn't expand on it in his retarded speech. I just find it crazy that those two didn't take him, but oh well.. worked out for the better anyways!

You're a good dude. We may go back and forth on football but I'd still go to a tailgate with you. Redline too, but I already knew him from the 94-95 section.

Personally I would have taken Moss. I always liked him in Minnesota and I thought some of his "problems" were blown out of proportion, but even with that said I dunno that it would have worked with the salary cap.

Ne gave up a 4th round pick and had him signed for about 1/3 his value last year.

BUT you are right last year the broncs were really in a rebuilding mode with a young qb moss would have been a nice toy but it would not have made them SB contenders..

NE was the perfect spot for him.. this year it's not so perfect with cassel at the helm but in 2007 it was a good fit.

Only problem is it's really hard to get somebody up to speed mid season.. Hopefully one of the guys we have now can at least keep the offense on the field

He sure would be a big improvement over matt cassel.. maybe he would throw the ball or do something other than panic and hold it and get sacked.

I see your point. The difference is though I was posting what was expected out of the Patriots after going 16-0 and as a fan of the team. A team that broke the NFL scoring record, from a team that broke the QB/Receiver TD record. I got piled on b/c I was a patriots fan and they lost, not b/c of anything I particularly said that was not out of the norm of what anyone posts. Stark difference in the two scenario's but I do see and respect your point so I'll call off the attack dogs

I guess it has not made headline news so it probably got squashed quick but anyone hear about how Al Davis accused Bill Belichick that he "Illegally" Acquired Randy Moss. Saying that they were in contact and had a "practice Session" before what was stated to the media. Belichick of course said no such thing happened. Al Davis is just a senile old bastard

Yeah, I heard about that a few days ago. I just left that part out because of everyone who hates the Patriots and will try to say they were breaking rules again.

Al Davis needs to quit trying to call people out on bs. He lied about most of that Lane Kiffin crap in that press conference as well. Dumb old man.

So what's eli going to do this week w/ out Buress, he'll be missing his tallest receiver. Who's going to catch his notoriously high passes .

Hopefully due to this they run Jacobs more so I can get some fantasy points

I guess they'll throw it to "Well Dressed" Amanai Toomer more. They've been throwing him almost as much as Plax so far from what i've seen.

Anywho.. Go Pats!!

After the bi week I expect the Patriots to come out and play a great game considering the blow out from the week before. If they come out and play a lack luster game it wont be good even if they win

I agree. I hope they come out with guns blazing and get Moss involved in the vertical passing game. They need to let matt throw the deep ball and open the playbook now to see if he can do it or not, because it can still be salvaged if he can't do it.. I think.

Although they're playing the Chiefs, Carolina is looking reeall good so far (except for 1 stupid fumble). My pick for the NFC South is looking good

Miami is beating the Chargers right now.. Maybe it wasn't such an upset a couple weeks ago when the Pats lost to the 'Phins. (trying to look for the silver lining lol)

And Atlanta is beating Green Bay, 17-7.

The G-men are all over the Seahawks early.. damn! 24-3.. looks like they'll be 4-0 after today.

The colts game just got really interesting w/ only 3:30 left. Texans QB goes up in the air to try for the first down, get WHACKED fumbles the ball and Indy takes it back for a TD. 3 Point game
