They wont suspend pac man b/c Newman is out.

Cutler will never be Elway in any aspect, not a single category or as a whole player. Behind Brady Elway is one of my favorite players and Cutler is nothing close to him

Switching gears a bit, Pro Football Talk is reporting that Tony Gonzalez has requested a trade and the Giants are one of the teams in the running. PFT is notorious for sloppy reporting, so take it for what it's worth though.

In any case I say, good, wreck the Chiefs even further.

I just heard this on the NFL Network. The odd thing is that the Giants reportedly offered a 6th rounder for him. That's an insult, IMO.

Redline, unless you have a crystal ball, you can't say that. Cutler is young and neither one of us know exactly how his career will pan out. It's like if someone said back in 2002 that Brady would never surpass any record Bledsoe had. Maybe after 5 more years you can make that claim. By then you would have a body of work from Cutler that you could base that prediction on.

Don't forget to root against the Cows tomorrow. :nice:

Cutler has actually has performed better than Elway did at similar points in their careers. Of course Elway didn't have Shanahan as his head coach, but still.

I don't know if Cutler will or won't reach the levels Elway did, but he certainly has the ability to do it.

Also guys, I probably won't be back online until Tuesday, just FYI.

Quite a few people have recently posted up stats that show Eli ahead of Peyton at the same # of games in their careers. The thing about comparing QB's is that you have to wait years and years before you can really make a valid call.

However, there is nothing wrong about pointing out ability/inability of a young QB. Seems like Jason Campbell is also having a good year so far. I'm interested in Aaron Rodgers and how his season turns out. If GB gave Favre 1 more chance, Rodgers would have been gone at the end of the year. Then GB would have NO QB. Was it worth it???

Well well well

Those crazy Skin fans. 4 wins in a row and most were saying the Skins are now the best team in the NFC, they may finish 15-1 due to an easier schedule now and should make it to the Superbowl.

Now it looks like the Redskin fans may have spoken a bit too soon. It doesn't look like the Skins will go 15-1 this year after all. After the mighty struggles they had today against the previously winless Rams team, they may not even be the favorite team from the NFC to make it to the Superbowl.

Back down to Earth for the Skin fans. I guess tomorrow they will be screaming that Zorn should be fired.

:rlaugh: With both of us rooting against them bastids, the Cardinals actually beat them!!! :)

For a while, I could not believe how lucky the Cows were. Play after play they got lucky breaks at every turn, just like last season. Last week they won because Romo missed his intended receiver, the ball skidded off his hands right into Clayton's hands by a freek accident and a touchdown that won the game.

I almost soiled myself with glee when the punt was blocked then run in to end the lucky streak in overtime. What a nail-biter!
