Yeah you are not kidding...

All the people on the patriots forum thought the pats were going to get 2 first round picks for cassel :rlaugh:

I even fell for it a bit when some people around here said a late first and a third.. They got a early 2nd and some salary cap dump (vrabel)

Uh, that would be the going price for Brady, not Cassel.

Said like a true homer. :nice:

Um, that coming from a Giants fan praising his team? Hypocritical much?

The Steelers had the number 1 Defense last year.

Lets see....

2008 Total Defense (YPG)

1. Pittsburgh Steelers 237.2
2. Baltimore Ravens 261.1
3. Philadelphia Eagles 274.3
4. Washington Redskins 288.8
5. New York Giants 292.0

Passing (YPG)

1. Pittsburgh Steelers 156.9
2. Baltimore Ravens 179.7
3. Philadelphia Eagles 182.1
4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 187.3
5. Dallas Cowboys 187.7

Where are the G-Girls?

Rushing (YPG)

1. Minnesota Vikings 76.9
2. Pittsburgh Steelers 80.2
3. Baltimore Ravens 81.4
4. Philadelphia Eagles 92.2
5. Chicago Bears 93.5

Again, the G-Girls not in the top 5???

Put up or shut up Vax.

Have trouble reading? Ask someone at home for help. I'm talking about recent signings + Osi back from IR. :nonono:

I still take the proven #1, you know....the one that won the Superbowl.

Steelers D-Line CURRENTLY IS STILL > G-GIRLS D- LINE

So to answer your question earlier, No I don't think anyone is in denial about the Giants d-line dominating the NFL...

OK. The Giants weaker line still beat those Steelers at home in Pittsburgh last year if memory serves me right. :D

If memory serves me right the Giants have half the amount of championships than that of the Steelers. I think they Steelers staffers know how to pick em' ;)

WHO CARES how many superbowls a team has?? Pretty sure the "steelers staffers" haven't been around for all of those superbowls . They had a good year this year, i'll agree, and are a great team, competitive most every year, but lets get this straight, they are like any other team in the NFL. They CAN be beat. You've been talking lately like they are the most ungodly team in the NFL evarrrr and can't be beat...

NFL Championships? I believe the Giants have more. Perhaps you are only counting "Superbowls" like most kids do. :nono:

+1

What!? Are you a football fan? That is the whole point...to win superbowls..

Actually the Rooney's have been around the entire time, and know how to pick the people that manage their organization.

No, I haven't, but they are the World Champions. Of course any team can be beat on any given Sunday. I mean if Superbowl 42 was played 100 more times the Patriots would have won it 95-100 of them.

The reason is the Merging and lets face it the NFL has really shaped up since the inception of the SB.

I don't think the Steelers are the greatest team ever in sports but I'll say this. IF Dallas or a NY team would have 6 titles it would have been and still all over the news. Pittsburgh is a small market city and doesn't have the national media coverage that the bigger markets do. Not complaining at all. That's just the way it is. America's team was created by NFL films and went to Art Rooney and said this is what we want to call your team. He said "no thank you, We are Pittsburgh's team." So I think it's cool there is no soap opera involved with the Steelers.

But when the Rooneys have been there, particurally Dan Rooney has overseen all six championchip teams, that says something. This is the guy who drafted Lynn Swann, John Stallworth and Mike Webster in ONE DRAFT! And mean 3 coaches in over 35 years?? Are you serious? That's unheard of nowadays in the "what have you done for me today" relm of sports. And the fact that they seem to always be in the thick of things says volumes of how the team is ran. They don't go out and pick up huge free agents or trades. They do it pretty much through the draft with a few exceptions here and there. Jerome Bettis was the last big trade and James Farrior was a great free agent pick up before anyone knew who he was.

But in the end you gotta give credit where credit is due here. They had a brutal schedule and still came out on the very top.

Owens is lucky that anyone signed him. Buffalo is a good place for Owens.

I think its brilliant. Its only a one year deal. It will sell tickets for a team that is in financial dispair. And it's not a big market like Dallas so maybe everything Owens says won't make the papers and sportscenter

6 SB titles is great and is enough to be the most in the NFL but compared to the new york yankees with 26 championships and the boston celtics with 17 titles it is not much..
