Hey, what would be a nice gear ratio to put on a 93 Cobra. My car is basically stock except for h-pipe and flowmasters. Trying to find a nice gear ratio were I wont lose too much top end. But then again where the hell will I ever need to go 140mph. Also, I need opinions on aluminum driveshaft, is it worth getting one if I don't have any vibration issues? My h-pipe is starting to look a little rough, its been on the car since 94. Considering getting a bassini x-pipe.

I run 3:55 but use my car on the road course. Use 3:73's if you go to the strip.Top end on my car came down to 138 mph ...140+ mph with a tailwind

3:55's are a good choice for an all around gear. You will feel the difference down low and it wont hurt your top end as much. I have them in my Cobra and could feel the difference right away. If you want more low end 3:73's would probably be a better choice, it really depends on what you want to get out of them. I was thinking about getting an aluminum drive shaft as well. I dont have any vibration but I just want one. Plus you'll shave a few pounds of your curb weight.

Yeah, I have no vibration, but I figure the light wieght will be better. The car launches great with the 3.08s, I could only imagine want 3.73s would do, but I would also like to be confortable on the highway.

I just installed 3.73's about a month or so ago... and you will see a big difference down low. Its not too bad on the highway, unless you like to run 90+ I don't have that much luck to run that fast on the highway... but you will have traction problems in 1st and 2nd on street tires. Hammering it from a slow roll causes my 255's to detonate.
