currently i have 1-5/8" hooker unequal length headers, x-pipe, flomasters, bbk adj fuel pressure regulator, bbk fenderwell intake, underdrive pullys, msd coil and 6al w/fms 9mm wires. the car has 68k on the odometer and i bought it from the second owner who put the mods on the car within the year he owned it, what should i get next?? i was thinking about throttle body and mass air, getting rid of the flowmasters for borla, and stiffining the chassis alittle. as far as supercharging goes with the stock internals(hypertectic pistons) will the engine take it with the miles or at all?? gears? cams? i would really appreciate anything you can throw out there. thanks!!

Go with a Kenne Bell Supercharger! It will be the best 3K you'll ever spend. Go to www.kennebell.net and read the FAQ's for more info.
Good luck! Here is what it looks like in my '93 Cobra.

3.73 gears
subframe connectors
AFR 165 heads
custom cam.

I personally wouldn't bother with the throttle body. 93 cobras come factory with 65mm which is more than enough until you get aftermarket intake and heads.

I agree that the KB blower is a great addition. I am running an 8psi kit with 80K miles on the stock engine and have never had any problems at all.

Blown93Cobra,
I am very curious about your strut tower brace. Did you have trouble getting this to fit? Where did you get it?

Dan,

It's a Kenny Brown Piece. It fits perfectly without any modifications. I would like to compare notes with you on our cars if you don't mind due to their similarity. Send me a pm with your email address if you are interested in talking.

Steve,
It is great to hear that the KB Brace fits. I have repeatedly heard that it was not possible to install a standard piece without custom work. I will send you a pm, it will be good for both of us to benefit from our experiences. There are definitely significant similarities between the cars.

Get some subframe connectors before you twist that beauty all up! That was the first mod I did to mine. I just happen to have a nice new set along with a Driveshaft loop (UPR) that I need to unload.

Stiffen the chassis, definetly. Subframe connectors would do some good. Gears, definetly get some 3.55s or 3.73s. Cam, cobras love the E303 cam. A supercharger would be good, but not necessary to run fast. Cobras take the boost just fine if you run 8-10 PSI. You could port the heads, get the intake extrude honed or ported. Get a bigger mass air meter for sure, 75-80mm is good. Swap that Flowmaster out for a Borla, and make the rare car sound different than everything thats out there. This should be more than enough to get you started.

I had 2 93' Cobra's a black and red;

Black one:

E303 cam
Pro-M 77MM maf (replaced cobra ecu with a GT ecu)
Extrude Hone upper intake, port matched lower
Ported the stock gt-40's
1 5/8" shorties
2 1/2" off road H pipe
Flows
3.55's in an auburn locker

The car went 13.01 @ 107mph in regular radials. The car was a blast to drive because you could beat on it and not worry anything.
