I have press in type wheel studs on my 31 spline Moser axles.
I hammered out the broken stud and I want to replace all of them while I'm at it.
Do I need a special tool to install the new studs?
Also, the invoice from the shop that installed the axles doesn't make sense.
The part number is A883152 which is for '94-'98 31 spline 5-lug which my axles are not. They are 4 lug.
I assume that they put on part number A883141 which is 31 spline 4 lug. There's also part number A883141a which is for a Auburn posi, they put an Eaton in , so I don't know if this matters? They also have part#8030 which is 1/2''-20 x 1-1/2'' 615'' Knurl wheels stud.
Also, the discription of the axles I have say .625 knurl. On the Jegs site, they recommend a .615 knurl wheel stud? Why's that? http://www.jegs.com/i/Moser/718/A883141/10002/-1/760995
I want to make sure I order the right wheel studs and heavy duty.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

to install new studs you hammer out the old one and insert the new one, take a lug and tighten it all the way down to the flange. This presses the stud all the way in to the axle flange.

Cant answer the part numbers but if you are not being over charged and have the right parts what does the mistake in part numbers matters?
