1993 Mustang with MSD 6AL Gains?

I've read that the stock ignition will handle up to 400 hp
So typically, you won't see any gains with an MSD ignition with my set-up?
I can understand this for street use.
But what if your car is seeing mainly strip use, under hard launches with slicks at WOT.
Is that more of a load on the stock ignition?
Would a MSD ignition give you any gains in that kind of situation?
