So this car started life as a 4 cylinder, which is the way I bought it. Limped it home since the tranny was crap or way over serviced. Didn't care either way since the drive line was coming out immediately.

So found a 1990 LX hatch with most of the drive line still in the car. So now I basically had everything I needed to do the 5.0 swap.

So basically here is the plan and several of these things have already been accomplished just don't have a bunch of time right now to put it all down.

Suspension:
K-member
A-arms
coil overs in the front
caster camber plates
upper and lower control arms in the rear

Brakes:
Upgrade to SN95 disc brakes all the way around

Transmission/Drive Line
4.10 gears
Manual valve body
Torque converter

Engine:
Cam
Intake Heads
supercharger
1.6 roller rockers
Smog and a/c delete
throttle body
egr delete
maf
injector upgrade
maf
under drive pulleys
adjustable regulator
fuel pump upgrade

Picture of car when I bought it:

Front suspension upgrades:

8.8 out of the car ready for gear upgrade:

Rear end back in the car after gear install and 5 lug disc upgrade:

Current picture of the car with current 5 lug wheels:

So the car will be moving to the garage shortly and getting the motor installed after I finish it up. More to come in the near future.

Nice coupe. Looks like it will be a fun project. You may want to re think the EGR delete though. There are no advantages to it. It will make your computer throw codes and the EGR system actually helps MPG's.

This basically going to be drag car so gas mileage will not be an issue. Is there a way to get the computer to ignore all the emissions sensors for an off road only vehicle. Just a gee wiz question I guess.

Yeah this has been a work in progress for at least the last year, so it's not really all at once.
