Looking for a set of cylinder heads for a stock bottom end 302. The gt40 heads i picked up dont seem like there worth the hassle to re-spring for a cam and such. New heads are not in my budget. Thanks.

Budget springs and seals are around $150, I just googled sbf valve springs and found a bunch of choices, not that bad.

dude, if you cant afford a decent set of valve springs, what makes you think you can afford a decent set of heads?

Not anymore expensive to do gt40 heads then it is to do E7's. They all require the same checks, flatness, valve jobs, seals, springs, etc.

Or you want to pick your own.

I think it's more about him thinkin that a pair of GT40's aren't worth the investment to bring them up to speed, as opposed to not being able to afford the springs to do it.

I can afford the valve spring that's not the problem. With the cam kit"$700" with everything and the intake and heads "$300". I could just get a set of set of heads "$1,000-1500" new and just buy the small cam kit.
