1995 mustang gt loud banging noise

My gt AODE makes a wierd shaking and rattling noise when i am driving. It happens kind of sporadically. It feels like driving a manual tranny car too slow in a higher gear. I also have that wierd popping noise on take off and coming to a stop so when the tranny starts to do the shaking thing i hear the popping noise. Any ideas?

If you feel like it's a drive train issue, check the u-joints on the drive-shaft. The popping noise, to me, sounds like a u-joint, start checking there first.

Possibly a trans mount? easy to check that...

is the poping coming from under you or does it sound like its coming from the engine?? check your timing if it sounds like its coming from the bay ....i have had u-joints go out at its more of a clunk then a pop i have noticed

It sounds like it comes from the bottom of the car and i can feel it in the floor boards when it pops. It kinda of confuses me cause it sounds like it coms from the front but front different sides then it sounds like it comes from the middle of the trans tunnel.

I agree with Dante30 check your u-joints on the drive shaft
