And while the page nowadays is defunct, the WaybackMachine still has it: https://web.archive.org/web/2008051...mpabay.rr.com/theflock/mustang/doorplate.html

The doortag may yield further information, but on the VIN: 1FAFP4048XF120285

1FA = Ford USA Passenger car
F = Active safety belts all positions, second generation airbags
P40 - Two-door coupe
4 = 3.8L, EFI, six cylinder
8 = VIN Check digit
X = 1999 modelyear
F = Dearborn MI
120285 = Production sequence number

So the 20285th Mustang produced in the 1999 run.

Considering there were 73180 units of this configuration totally produced, this one is probably from around April of 1999 (doortag should indicate the date more specifically).

Not sure if that answers your question tho...

There were just under 5000 legitimate 35th anniversary cars built.

Many folks mistake the badge on the fender and assume their car is a 35th anniversary, when that’s not the case.

Post pics of the car to ID

As to value, not much of a premium. These cars just don’t have the devout following to have folks seek them out. Probably a small premium over a standard GT.

35th Anniversary Limited Edition" appearance option package came on 2,318 GT coupes and 2,310 GT convertibles. Available only in black, silver metallic, white, and red,
Based on the fact that it's a V6 (and thus not a GT), I doubt the color would matter much... Based on the engine, and that quote, the badging is probably aftermarket.

Yup. Missed that.

V6 was never an anniversary model in 1999. It’s just a regular mustang with the 35th anniversary badge that all ‘99 Mustangs got (except cobra).

Standard v6 value

The number of people that think they have a 25th Anniversary model in 1989 are mistaken just the same. Actually there was no Anniversary model for 25 years, all Mustangs got the 25 years dash plate that were built from April 17th 1989 to end of production 1990. My car was built on last day of 1990 production (about 70 units under total production for the year) and has the same 25 years badge.
