im about to buy a mustang gt with a vortech v2 and i he told me he had the ecu flashed by apex a wile back and his battery died and he lost all of his fuel maps and he has a preditor tuner but cant install it intill it gets flashed to stock my question is how much does the flash cost from ford? Is the diablo capible of tuning a supercharged car with ported plenum tb intake and heads? Can i take the car to a dyno and have them tune with the preditor? Is it possible to get a new tune loaded on the preditor? One more thing how much timing would you bump down to run from 91 octane to 87? I barly ever floor it and i could use 87 when i just want to cruise.

1. 87 and blower = BAD THINGS
2. I won't drive a car with a blower on it without a tune.
3. The Predator can be used to tune a mild bolt-on gt or even a power adder car. BUT you need the predator unlocked and you need someone that uses their software to tune it.
4. Yes a new tune should be able to be loaded once again device needs to be unlocked.

BTW unlocked = the car that was originally flashed with it has had it's stock tune flashed back. There have been lots of people ripped off by buying a handheld that is still locked to another car. Check with Diablo about what it cost to get it unlocked. In most cases it is cheaper and lots eaiser to buy a new tuner.
Also have the car tuned with whatever software your local freindly dyno tuner uses.

I'll add that he did not lose anything in regards to the tune when his battery died.

So theres no way to loose the newly inputed air flow maps with the battery pulled? Also he never used the preditator yet its brand new and he cant install it because theres a tune on the car already. I belive he has the v2 chip that comes with the supercharger kit on the cpu also.

there's no way to lose the data on the computer unless you fry it. if the computer has a chip, just remove the chip and it's a stock computer. if there is no chip in the computer, you can reflash it with the predator. but unless the predator was programmed for a supercharged car, it won't work in your case.
