Hey everyone, I have been a foxbody guy my whole life and now I own a 2003 GT with a SLP loudmouth headers back x-pipe w/hi flow cats exhaust system. question1. I have noticed the acceleration in 2 nd gear is a little sluggish and then it really pulls in 3rd, is this normal? 2nd question any recommendations on lowering springs that will not require camber adjusters. Not looking to scrape ants but do want to reduce wheel gap for a cleaner look. Thanks in advance!

Both 2nd and third are great gears. I found I was getting too much slippage in second gear so I spent the money on excellent tires - fixed 2nd gear.

Almost every lowering spring will benefit from aftermarket CC plates. Stock plates don’t offer the range of adjustment and you might not be able to get the alignment you want. I’d wait on lowering springs until you can buy both at the same time.

Your second gear is probably normal. These cars just don't behave like small block Fords. If you go to the aftermarket parts distributors like AmericanMuscle.com, LMR. com, Lethalperformance.com, most of them have pictures of customer's installs. Those can help guide your decision and find your preference. Bear in mind how strong a spring you want for handling / ride quality.
