Well, I finally went to a 1/4 mile track and i was satisfied with what i ran...First off, the track was prepared horribly...I could feel myself spinning in 3rd gear and the track itself looked like an abandoned airstrip lol, and 2ndly, it was hot...i'm talking around 88 starting off...it cooled off to the mid 70's when the sun went down... I ended up running eight runs and the 1st 7 were: 13.85 @ 100.54...13.84 @ 100.49...13.87 @ 100.56...13.76 @ 101.03...13.89 @ 100.87... 13.89 @ 101.08...13.93 @ 100.69...By the way, my mods are in my sig: SCT xcal2, FRPP 4.10s, BBK O/R x pipe, Flow40's, MGW Shifter, 285's street tires...

And my best run of the night, which was my last one, is as follows:

REACTION------ .7184
60 FT------------ 2.03
330 FT---------- 5.74
1/8 ET---------- 8.83
1/8 MPH-------- 80.06
1000 ET------- 11.49
1/4 ET---------- 13.73
1/4 MPH------- 101.03

Overall, I am pretty satisfied :nice:

Theres a guy on here with 297hp and 310trq and running slicks with cams and hes in the 11.90's , just posted t the other day .....

A good driver makes a world of differnce .........dosnt it..??

I FOUND IT !!

my combo: Stock 98 Mark VIII shortblock, stock PI heads, VT stage II cams, Manley Nextek Springs, LT Headers, O/R H-Pipe, 75mm TB, Ported Upper Intake, JLT CAI, 4.30 gears and DirtyDog 4200rpm TQ Converter.

First pass off the trailer, engine at normal temp. Warning my friend first time with the camera.

11.93 run a friend of my Fox. The Fox has heads, cam, 100 shot, and 5spd. The Fox runs very good, it ran 11.89 on that pass against me.

Here is my best pass of the day, 11.90.

All passes look good but it seems like the front end is raising quicky and settling down at around 250-300ft out. I think I need to tweak a few things. Maybe 11.7-11.8's in the future

No power adder and race weight was 3065lbs. The aluminum block shed some weight for me.

The car dyno 291rwhp and 320TQ

thanks...for as hot and as humid as it was, i really feel like it did good...i talked to a guy who races on this track and another track and he said he gets 2 to 3 tenths better on the other track because they prep it better so next time i'm going to travel the extra 45 miles to go to the other track and see if i can break into the 13.5's

get some slicks and youre looking at high 12's easy

An excellent drive can optimize a vehicles performance, but even he can not over come the laws of physics. A = F / M

The 3065 weight also helps.

nice job!

Question: you said you spun in 3rd, do you think your front tires could have been wet from the burn out box? I did that my first run. I drove right through the water not even thinking that my front tires are now wet causing my rear tires to light up like a crack whore on veterans day.
