2.2 KB dyno results

As promised here are the results.
This is thru a race convertor that has a 7% slip..Once we lock the convertor up(need more fuel) we'll see close to 700rwhp thru the automatic.

As it stand with the conversion factor to a 5 speed it is @ roughly 670rwhp..

Car has more in it but the fuel system is done.We have nitrous on it also but didnt spray it do to a malfunction.We'll spray a 50 shot saturday @ the track.We talked with KB alot yesterday adn based on thier test car(auot also) Dave is down 50-60rwhp without lockup.We are also only @ 18* degress instead of 23 because the car was run with pump gas..

Final results are 597rwhp thru a unlocked convertor.We are testing a 5peed car exactly like this one next week.We'll have 5 speed results for all of you.

I'll get the 597rwhp graph up..For some damn reason I gave Dave the 581rwhp run..That was my bad,it was late....

I bought a 4.6 at the right time....

Its about time there is a way to get equal power to LT1's and LS1's out of these mod-motors... I've lately been wondering if this 4.6 I just picked up was worth my time to mod it, but the 2.2 may satisfy my needs. 17lbs of boost huh? Thats more than I wanted to put through this motor....Any guesses on how well a forged 4.6 bottom end will stand up to that many psi? I don't want to join the ricer philosphy that to be fast, put so much boost into an engine it will only last a few thousand miles before it blows up. When there are N/A LT1's with over 600HP @ the fly, it doesn't seem logical that we should have to go through this much of an extreme to be at the same level.

What kind of heads were on this car that you tested the 2.2 with? (Stock or p&p, flow numbers?)

And what cams? (spec's please)

Heads are our race heads.Same ones we have used for 700rwhp.

We had a Saleen go 601rwhp(5-speed) with stock heads,stock plastic intkae,our custom cams and 20psi from a novi..

Really? I wasn't aware. So Modular Powerhouse custom grinds cams specificly for the KB 1.7 and 2.2 applications? And these "race heads"-> I could send you stock PI castings from a 99 GT and you could p/p and assemble the heads with your cams - and for how much? I just got your Modular Powerhouse catalog with an order from Steeda, but I don't have it with me right now. Where are you located again?
