I remember that one, it was nuts. Hard to believe, but facts can't be argued. Just gives the rest of us out there hope, I guess

EDIT: God Almighty I just watched the vids I hope you plan to still be in business in 10 years or so when I finally can afford all these goodies!!!

Not bad at all, thats right with the cobras with the KB at 617-620RWHP but they start breaking everythink (except tranny) when at that power lv...and so would our cars, so you cant just slap this on your forged 4.6 and take off down the track...need new clutch, full roll cage(if in the 9s..may have changed to 10.99 or faster),new tranny, a heck of a rear end with 31 or 35 spline axles and detroit locker, and a bunch of braces under the car, not to mention all the odds and ends (such as a new hood, tires to hold it, and guages), as well as the labor to do the work....in short its going to cost ALOT more than the cost of the 2.2 to make your 2V GT a safe reliable car. Not trying to diss the KB in ANY way just trying to give you guys a look at the other costs, because I know all you guys are looking at is 600 or so RWHP out of a 2V...but thats with very expencive head work and the costly cams(not stock top end). You better have yourself a VERY good job LOL...or a nice healthy credit card.Anyways good numbers out of the 2V.Any price yet for the 2.2?

Anytime you go above the horsepower level that the car was DESIGNED to handle, you are going to run into trouble. I think it goes without saying that you need to "beef-up" the car. But I don't know about the "expensive" head/cam work. It's all in the tune. If you have strong parts, and a quality tune like Tim's.....you can do anything you want. It's all about how much fuel and air you can stuff into the motor. I can see the head/cam work if you were trying to obtain every ounce of hp from minimal boost or even NA. But a big blower will overcome poor heads anyday. There's many ways to get 600rwhp. And guaranteed, the 2.2 won't be cheap.

the 2.2 is similar to a turbo setup, this is the dream of all 2valvers and the idle setup, but unrealistic to the normal everyday joe. I have to save for like 6 months just to be able to afford the 1.7 6psi non-intercooled kit, this would take me a few years!

:worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship:

And now the reaction based on my inability to afford this setup and all the associated costs to make it a daily driver :

:damnit:

Exactly my point, I just didnt want people getting their hopes up that all they have to do is buy a built lowend, slap on the 2.2 and say hello to low 10s (maybe 9s)...just giving a look into the total cost. But I am sure that Tim will agree that, " your power is in your heads" so you cant say that a big blower will make up for poor heads, in S/Cd applications good flowing heads make an even larger difference than on a N/A setup.I doubt you would ever see those numbers with stock heads."An engine is like a big air pump, the faster you can get the air in and out of the engine the more power it will make."(as told by a former funny car mechanic/driver...may not be word for word but you get the point)
