Anytime you go above the horsepower level that the car was DESIGNED to handle, you are going to run into trouble. I think it goes without saying that you need to "beef-up" the car. But I don't know about the "expensive" head/cam work. It's all in the tune. If you have strong parts, and a quality tune like Tim's.....you can do anything you want. It's all about how much fuel and air you can stuff into the motor. I can see the head/cam work if you were trying to obtain every ounce of hp from minimal boost or even NA. But a big blower will overcome poor heads anyday. the 2.2 is similar to a turbo setup, this is the dream of all 2valvers and the idle setup, but unrealistic to the normal everyday joe.
