2.3 mustang electric fan

somebody is going to give me a fan from a 90 2.3 car. anybody know the measurements on it. will it cool a 69 302 block bored .060 over with a 4 inch cowl hood and a dual 1 inch core aluminum radiator. i have no AC. and it is a 5 spd.

No one can tell you for sure if it's gonna work; we can only guess. There are simply too many variables. I suppose you can try it and see what happens. But an engine 1/2 the size with 1/2 the HP, I wouldn't bet on it being adequate.

I doubt it will work. Your best bet would be to get an electric fan from a 3.8L taurus....they work great!
You will need a 75amp relay though.

Don't use relays/switches - antiques, almost extinct. Use this -- www.dccontrol.com

yeah i will use a dc controller if when i save the money up or get a used working one. it is free so i might try it and if not, i will get a taurus

yeah um, that fan is like 6" deep, not gonna work on a V8. It also does not cover the radiator, the shroud is the size of the fan.

convert to a 24 volt system and the fan will spin twice as fast.

Seriously, if you want a nice set up, check out Chris's (Mark 8) or Michael's (dual Spals). good stuff - i would go with either no questions asked.

i think the spal's are out of my price range for sure but the lincoln,taurus,sn95 thing will probably do it.
