Suspension 2.3 power steering

So after reading the sticky I'm still lost. I got the pump changed out but I'm still having up and down movement in the pressure line going into the pump. There was no o-ring in the old one. There was not a new one that came with the new pump. I bought a pump with the reservoir already on it. Car has to go back together today, no other options. Any further info would be helpful.

Thanks man for the reply, but like the guy that wrote the sticky, I was not familiar with ford power steering systems... Felt like an idiot but we got it figured out. Must've had one too many last night to realize what was wrong. The damn pressure fitting kept turning. Come to find out the threads were junk so we rebuilt the original and reused it.
