Ok, so I'm new at this. I have a 1988, 2.3L mustang Lx. The thing is in mint condition. BUT, it doesn't go fast enough for my taste. SOOO, here are my plans:

-Get a 2.3L ford engine already with a turbo (anyone have one?? :D)

-Install my nitrous, which I already have.

-FInd a posi diff. (hopefully from the same car as the 2.3, anyone have a tbird or murkur they're dumping??)

-install racing cams.

-possibly add a gt body kit, but we'll see.

If anyone has any of these parts avaliable, let me know :nice:

Sounds like fun, but a few comments. If your car is an auto, plan on breaking the transmission and going to either a T5 or a C4 (expensive). Also, if you are going to mess with the rear end, I would recommend going to an 8.8 rear end instead of playing with the 7.5. The 7.5 will eventually break with what you have planned.

Skip the racing cam and go with a full 3" exhaust, K&N filter and a boost valve. Then, you can add a front mount intercooler. You can max out the injectors, VAM and computer long before you need to get a wilder cam. As a point of reference, I'm running a stock roller camshaft and doing just fine (see signature). You would really hurt yourself by going to a much wilder cam, especially without some method to tune the car.
