2.3L T5 swap

Is the T5 used in the four cylinder cars dimensionally the same as the world class T5? Has anyone performed this swap with a V8? I know it is not near as durable, but it is much cheaper.

Its the same houseing, just the internals are diffrent. I used one for about 2 pass at the track and it killed 3rd gear. If you just going to granny it then it should be ok if its rebuild or you plant to rebuild it yourself.

will bolt up to where a v-8 t-5 was minus the pilot shaft. the difference there is a 15mm pilot verses the v-8 5/8

Why bother going through all the trouble of a T-5 swap when your just gonna break the tranny anyway?

Unless you drive like my grandmother, I strongly suggest a T5 doner from a V8 car.

Yeah... Definately get one from a V8. I broke my WC T5 and I don't think the 4 banger one would fair nearly as well as my WC T5 did.
