i have a couple of questions. first, when i start up my car dosent matter if its hot or cold there is a little ticking sound coming from the engine. it only lasts for like 2 minuts then goes away, shut the car off and start it back up and its ticking away. what could this be? rocker, lifter? next my high beams keep flickering real bad, they shut off and everything, dont know if its the headlight switch or a wire. now the low beam is starting to do it to. crazy. oh ya its a 85 gt mustang.thanks

no, my car dosent have a alarm. when the lights go out i have to push in on the headlight switch the one on the dash i have to shut the entire lighting system off for a few seconds and then turn it back on, then it works for a bit agian. if i hold the high beam switch back while im driving the high beams will never flicker. i wonder if its the headlight assembly.

take apart your steering column a little bit. on the side of the turn signal switch there is a whole bunch of connections. if there are any of those brass colored rod things sticking out that are fried then you probably need a whole new switch which is like $80. i think that was the first thing i bought for my car. beleive it or not your turn signal switch has a connection to the headlights. but if your car is an 87 or 88 then make sure the one you order is for an 87 or 88 cuz the idiot who ordered mine from monument got the wrong year. they look the exact same too. good luck man
