So I'm trying to wire up an MSD 2-step launch control module into my 1995 GT and I'm having a problem finding the correct clutch sensor wire to attach to the latching relay.
I looked around under the dash and checked in the technical service manual for wiring diagrams and figured that I should be using the light blue/yellow wire that goes from the clutch pedal position switch back to the engine computer. Is this the right wire to use?
If it is, then I'm having a different problem. The other wire in that connector is a gray/red wire, which is supposed to come from the engine computer. I think that this is the power wire for that switch and that when the clutch pedal is depressed the +12v goes through to the light blue/yellow wire. Problem is, I checked the gray/red wire with a test light and when the car is on, there is no +12v coming from it! What's the deal, shouldn't the gray/red wire have +12v on it whenever the car is on?
