i have a 2000 GT and when i had the cats removed the engine light comes on and off all the time...is there something i can do to get the engine light to stay off?..i have a an x-pipe without the cats, and the sensors are all hooked up right....any suggestions...

What you need is a set of MIL Eliminators.... the search button is your friend...

The stock H-pipe has a second set of O2 sensors behind the cats. They tell the
EEC if the catalytic converters are working or not. Since you don't have the cats,
it's getting a different reading which the EEC determines to be a problem and
turns on the Service Engine Soon (SES) light.

The MIL Eliminators will send a constant signal back to the EEC as if the catalytic
converters were there and were working correctly. Much cheaper than reflashing
your computer to ignore the missing converters...

MIL eliminators will work, but if you are willing to spend a little money get a Diablosport tuner and you can not only add some horsepower to your Stang, but turn off the o2 sensors completely and check on all DTC's that may pop up and do multiple other corrections like spedo recalibrations and such after installing new gears. I bought one for my 2000 GT just to avoid the emmissions problem at inspection time and it worked without a hitch.
