2000 GT gettin old

This was my first mustang and i love it, but i want to get it back to where it was. It just doesnt have the power that it used to, i can feel it gettin slower(if that is possible), im gettin pulled or even beatin by cars that should be close. Any ideas as to what i can do to liven it up or refresh it a litte? My clutch is def slipping after 42000 miles(hard miles) so there is a start. Any idea on the average price of a clutch install? Also do i need a new flywheel or will i just have to see when its off? Thanks in advance for the help.

i think it is a good idea to get a new flywheel when you change the clutch. have you had a good tune up lately? replace all that worn out stuff. change the fuel filter. what mods do you have? if none just add an aftermarket exhaust and catted midpipe. that wont be overkill but will put you above the stock gt performance. :nice:

Try www.partshopper.com for the clutch, the spec stage 2 maybe, flywheel as well.
I would also get a compression check and you may want a dyno-tune to get your air/fuel ratios perfect.

Be sure your fuel filter is fairly new, rear end fluid changed, etc.
Definately Magnaflow X pipe too :nice:
I'm happy with every mod in my sig

Whenever you change a clutch, it is important to atleast get the old flywheel turned if you opt to keep it. I got the Spec stage II clutch and new spec flywheel and absolutly love them!! :nice:
